ISO 20022 Migration will be due in November 2022 by requiring the all financial institutions to implement necessary changes in order to improve and enhance cross-border payments globally. With the adoption of ISO 20022’s harmonized data standard, increase in the interoperability between global payment systems will be possible and consequently, the complexities and the costs regarding the cross-border settlement processes will be mitigated.

SWIFT created the Customer Security Programme (CSP) to promote cybersecurity within the SWIFT user community and to drive industry-wide collaboration in the battle against the cyber threat. This assurance framework will require customers to report their level of compliance with the mandatory and recommended security control points. From 2021 onwards all SWIFT members will be obligated to carry out an independent assessment when self-attesting. This is either the Community Standard Assessment or the SWIFT mandated assessment. Users will be asked to submit self-attestation status information into a dedicated security attestation folder of the KYC Registry.
